I’m a latecomer to the work of Jon Ronson having only been vaguely aware of him, but never having dipped my toes into any of his books. I’ve discovered I quite like his brand of journalism.

So You’ve Been Publicly Shamed explores the re-emergence of public shaming as an Internet phenomenon, particularly on Twitter. Despite being old in internet terms (it’s from 2015), there’s some fascinating human stories in here about misunderstanding, the behaviour of mobs and how some people are driven by outrage.
